INGRES JOINS INTEL® SOFTWARE PARTNER PROGRAM
Ingres CAFÉ Enters the Intel® Certified Solutions Program
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - August 20, 2008 - Ingres Corporation, a leading provider of open source database management software and support services, announced today that it has joined the Intel® Software Partner Program, a set of premium Intel services to help partners expand their sales reach and increase customer confidence through the Intel® Certified Solutions Program. Products certified via the program are awarded the Intel Certified Powered by SpikeSource logo and gain access to Intel resellers and end customers.

Ingres CAFÉ, which recently received a LinuxWorld Product Excellent award, will go through rigorous testing to be certified through the Intel Certified Solutions Program. Solutions that successfully complete the certification process will be awarded the Intel Certified Powered by SpikeSource logo. This provides third-party validation for channel partners and end customers that Ingres CAFÉ is secure, interoperable, and enabled on Intel platforms. Ingres CAFÉ was co-developed through the Ingres community development program with Carleton University, and showcases how developers can be involved in solving problems leveraging commercial open source. Ingres CAFÉ bundles together many open source-friendly solutions, including the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE), Ingres database management system (DBMS), Apache Tomcat, Hibernate and JavaServer Faces (JSF) libraries into a single installable package.
