Red Hat and Ingres Partnership
Ingres and Red Hat have joined together to drive a better way of doing business at a fraction of the cost by enabling enterprises to deploy java applications on a commercial open source infrastructure. Joint customers such as Biveroni Batschelet Partners AG (BBP), Allied Express, and Connected Weddings have deployed mission critical applications on the infrastructure comprised of Ingres and Red Hat’s JBoss Enterprise Middleware. Ingres believes IT organizations can immediately benefit and see value with commercial open source technologies by leveraging the portability of Java and deploying on complete open source infrastructure stacks. The combined stack of JBoss EAP, Ingres Database, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux gives enterprises and ISVs a low-cost alternative to proprietary application development solution that delivers the same or better performance, reliability, and supportability.
